To access paid features, including API access, you must:

Keep your login credentials secure
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.2 Account Suspension or Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time if:
These Terms are violated
Abuse or misuse is detected
Payment obligations are not met

4. Purchases & Subscriptions
4.1 API Subscriptions
We offer API access via:
3-month subscription
Yearly subscription
Access is granted only after successful payment.
4.2 Payments
Payments are processed securely via Mollie.
We do not store full payment details.
4.3 Refunds
Refunds are handled case-by-case at our sole discretion.
There is no automatic right to a refund once API access has been granted.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
Use the Website or API for unlawful purposes
Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or exploit our systems
Interfere with the security or performance of our services
Share, sell, sublicense, or redistribute API access or data
Circumvent technical limitations or safeguards
6. Intellectual Property
All content, data, software, branding, and API responses provided by TuningSpecs remain the exclusive property of Tuning Specs or its licensors.
No rights are granted except those explicitly stated in these Terms.
API TERMS OF USE
The following terms apply specifically to the TuningSpecs API.
7. API Description
The TuningSpecs API provides access to vehicle-related data, including but not limited to:
Makes and models
Engines
Performance data such as:
Default horsepower (HP)
Tuned horsepower (HP)
Default torque
Tuned torque
8. API Access & License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access and use the API subject to these Terms.
8.1 Account & Key Usage
An API key is required
Each API key may be used on one (1) website or application only
Sharing API keys is strictly prohibited
9. Usage Limits & Fair Use
9.1 Quotas
Current quota: 3,000 requests per month
Enforcement may not yet be technically hardened, but limits still apply
9.2 Reasonable Use Policy
We reserve the right to:
Introduce or enforce rate limits at any time
Throttle or suspend excessive usage
Adjust quotas to protect platform stability
10. Commercial Use
Commercial use is permitted
Limited to one website or application per API key
Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing API data is strictly prohibited
11. Attribution
Attribution to TuningSpecs is not required when using the API.
(Attribution may be included automatically when using official plugins.)
12. Availability & No SLA
The API is provided “as is” and “as available”:
No uptime guarantee
No service-level agreement (SLA)
We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the API at any time
13. Termination of API Access
We may immediately suspend or revoke API access if:
These Terms are violated
Abuse or excessive usage occurs
Payment fails or expires
Required to protect our systems or comply with law
No refunds are guaranteed upon termination.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
All services, data, and API responses are provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
We do not guarantee:
Accuracy or completeness of data
Fitness for a particular purpose
Continuous availability
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
Tuning Specs shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the last 12 months
16. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tuning Specs from any claims, damages, or losses arising from:
Your use of the Website or API
Your violation of these Terms
Your application or service using the API
